The Diocese of Lincoln Catholic Schools has long been committed to ensuring that Catholic education is affordable and accessible for all families. There are many opportunities for tuition assistance thanks to parish and community support. We can help you find the right option for your family to make an exceptional Catholic education within reach.
Parish Support of Local and Regional Schools
Because we believe Catholic education is essential to the mission of forming future Catholic leaders, parishes in the Diocese of Lincoln typically fund 45% to 50% of the total cost to educate each Catholic school student through weekly collections, gifts and fundraisers. No application is needed to receive this financial assistance, which comes from the faithful support of Catholics to their local parish.
Local Scholarships
Many schools in the Diocese of Lincoln offer scholarships for tuition assistance at the local level. Check with your school to see if there are opportunities to apply. Use our school finder to locate a school near you!
The Good Shepherd Scholarship Fund
The Diocese of Lincoln provides scholarships covering up to 75% of tuition through the Good Shepherd Scholarship Fund to families whose income falls below 225% of the federal poverty level. Applications are due by March 31, 2024. Donations to the Good Shepherd Scholarship Fund are tax-deductible, can be made online, and support both currently enrolled and new students.
Opportunities Scholarship Act
The State of Nebraska now offers private school tuition scholarships. Families may sign up online to see if they qualify through Opportunity Scholarships of Nebraska. Applications are due April 30, 2024. A tax credit contribution or tax-deductible charitable donation to Opportunity Scholarships of Nebraska empowers families to choose the best option for their children, regardless of income or zip code.
